Thanks for your interest in the Brattleboro Area Farmers’ Market!
As you may be aware, Covid-19 led to significant changes in how our market operated last season, and at this point in time, the Brattleboro Area Farmers' Market board is planning to open the market in a manner similar to last year - masks required, all products out of customers’ reach, 6’ distance between vendors and customers, and a one-way flow of traffic. (This configuration is likely to shift as the state changes its guidelines.) We will be open for in-person shopping every Saturday from May 1 to October 30 at our site on Western Avenue in Brattleboro.
Please be sure to read through the application materials, below, prior to applying. It is important that everyone applying to the market understand and agree to follow our general rules and Covid protocols. Applications from new vendors are due March 19. Applications from daily vendors are accepted on a rolling basis, and we do offer a monthly jury for new products once the season begins.
If you have products to jury (new applicants must jury a representative sampling of all of their products, except in the case of straight agricultural products), we will let you know the jury date as it gets closer. The jury date will be at the end of March or early April (the jury will be held outside and is weather dependent), and the board will meet shortly afterward to decide which vendors to accept for the season. All new applicants can expect to know whether they have been accepted as vendors by early April.
The market manager is available for Zoom meetings or phone calls to answer any questions about vending. Don't hesitate to reach out! Contact Meghan Houlihan, Market Manager, at or 802-254-8885 (texts are okay).
