Market FAQs

Can I bring my dog to the market?
Dogs are not allowed within the market grounds. Service dogs are allowed as per the ADA accommodations. Thank you for your understanding.

Does the market have bathrooms?
The market has partnered with the Rich Earth Institute and offers portable bathroom units. One collects urine, which is converted into fertilizer, and one is a conventional handicap accessible unit. There is also running water for general use.

Is there public transportation available to the market?
Connecticut River Transit's The Current bus lines offer convenient 15-minute transport from downtown Brattleboro. Check the Brattleboro Red Line Schedule for times and fares.

I'm interested in becoming a vendor—where can I get more information?
You can find our vendor application, market rules, and other information here. You can also contact the market manager here.

I'm interested in performing music at a Saturday market—who do I contact?
We love having local musicians perform at the market, please fill out the form linked here.

Do the market vendors accept credit cards?
Many, but not all, vendors at the market use Square and are able to accept credit and debit card payments directly. The market manager's booth also can process cards in exchange for market tokens (which work as cash). There is a $2 fee for each credit/debit transaction at the manager's booth.

Does the market accept SNAP Benefits?
Yes! The market can swipe EBT food stamps and EBT cash cards in exchange for market tokens at both the Saturday and Downtown markets. There is no fee for this service. The market also offers a matching program for EBT food stamps customers. For each food stamps dollar, the market will provide an additional $1 coupon good for fruits and vegetables. $10 limit per market.

Are the same vendors at every Saturday market?
While we have around 40 full-season vendors present most Saturdays, we invite daily vendors to come fill empty spots when they are open. For more information on becoming a daily vendor, please go here.
